She watched the two dragons flying around each other. She could spot male rivalry a mile away, didn't hurt much that the men in the Akatsuki far outnumbered the women.
"I like to make people feel like they're needed Karatsu, I know how fragile a man's ego is when he thinks he may be overpowered by a girl. I wouldn't want that to happen to you." She said, hoping to continue on with the light back and forth rather than let the two guys upset her comfort zone.
She turned to give Karatsu a wink right after she had finished speaking. But then she turned back to watch the dragons.
"Alright Reap, so I will be asking you to touch my rose quite often to make sure it doesn't die. Nothing is more depressing than a dead flower. I guess thats why I like Konan's flowers so much. Paper flowers can't die." Amaya said, almost absent mindedly.

Karatsu was enjoying this little contest. "Then please forgive me if I cannot live to your standards of power and skill, for I am but a humble male gender. Oh Takahashi-sama."

Reap looked towards the voices again and the dragon stopped catching itself by the tail and greedily devouring itself. Chuckling as the ink droplets sprayed down like blood he would keep his hands still resting in his lap, not wanting to enrage the other male further, after-all what good would a confrontation bring. Nothing thats what just bloodshed...well more than normal anyway.

Amaya chuckled, "Karatsu, you're anything but humble." She teased lightly.
She watched as the one dragon created by Reap devoured itself and braced herself incase any of the ink dripped on her.
"I'm completely envious of the both of you when it comes to this." She sighed, meaning the dragons. Yes Amaya could draw, but her drawings always remained on her sketch pad.

Karatsu hated to admit it, but he considered Amaya one of his few friends. He never let anyone, not even her, know that, but he was sure she was aware. What she said gave him an idea for a present for the closest upcoming occasion.

Sighing and turning his head so he would appear to be looking away he would reply quickly "I'm blind how can you envy the handicapped." Tracing his hand down his bloody cheek he would lick the now blood stained fingers clean absentmindedly as he felt the slight wind blowing through the lair dance across his face, smiling slightly to himself he would keep still just listening to the faint sound of the other two's breathing.

Amaya watched through the cornor of her eye as Reap once more wiped blood from his cheek and licked them clean. She forced back a grimace, it wasn't the sight of the blood that got to her, it was him licking it. She supposed it was easy for some to get a taste for blood, after all, Zetsu actually devoured dead bodies, so she supposed she should be use to these sort of things.
"Its true that you're blind Reap, but think of how enhanced your other senses are to make up for it. I don't see you as handicapped at all." Amaya stated, her voice even, as if she were simply speaking the truth. Which, it was how she saw things.
She heard a sound she was sure was thunder right outside the lair, another storm. This would probably be a good thing, perhaps she'd go outside and enjoy the rain.

Shivering as the sound of thunder crashed through his thoughts Reap would look around and then sigh, "another storm, that means less sun, and less drawing in it's shine..." he would trail off wondering what he would do to fill his evening now.

Amaya shrugged at Reap's observation. Amaya actually preferred alittle bit of rain to the sun. The rain reminded her of home. Of days before she accepted the life of a s rank criminal. Of days when she and her mother would sit outside and watch the rain pour or she would run out in the rain and perform dances for her mother's enjoyment.
"You can still draw inside, besides If things don't pick up around here. I'm sure that you could take a trip to a more sunny location." She said.
She then turned to Karatsu and noted that he had been quiet the last few minutes. "Have you heard anything about missions lately?" She asked him.

Karatsu wasn't paying attention to her words, but to her face. "Hmm? Oh, not really. I'm sending sokatsui to scout for something interesting. Come to think of it, Leader hasn't really been keeping us busy."

Reap listened to the conversation, he heard Amaya say "You can still draw inside, besides If things don't pick up around here. I'm sure that you could take a trip to a more sunny location." and sighed "well I would like to stay here and the only reason I don't like the rain is because it makes it hard to walk without bumping into people because I can't hear them."

Amaya blew her long purple bangs out of her eyes and rolled her shoulders in order to relax. It really wasn't like her to let on about what she was thinking or feeling. Perhaps there really was something to the whole cabin fever thing.
"You won't leave me stranded here if you find some entertainment, will you Karatsu?" Amaya asked. She tossed her book onto a nearby table, deciding that there was no use holding it if she wasn't going to be able to read it.
"Well, I would like to stay here and the only reason I don't like the rain is because it makes it hard to walk without bumping into people because I can't hear them," Reap replied to her suggestion to go somewhere sunny.
Amaya turned to look at him, not saying anything for a moment. She was thinking over what he said.
"I bet that if you trained in the rain some, you'd be able to hear the raindrops hit people. They do make a quiet sound you know. You may not have noticed, but if you listen for them, then you'd be able to tell where the people are." She replied.
She sat back with her back touching the couch, crossed her arms and closed her eyes. Letting her mind wander for a while, listening carefully to the rain begin to hit the ground outside.
All of a sudden a huge BANG! rang though the lair, followed by another BANG!

Karatsu looked out the window across the room. "Some storm, huh? Don't worry Amaya, I'll let you know, if I don't ACCIDENTALLY FORGET like the Niibi incedent!"

Amaya didn't open her eyes, but the corner of her mouth did go up, "Don't make me put a tailing jutsu on you Karatsu. I'm sure that Zetsu would know one, and if you did leave me to die of bordem here while you go off again, well.. you've heard the saying about a scorned woman right?" She asked.
She heard Hidan cussing about something, and the low rumble of Kakuzu's voice coming from down the hall. Apparently the immortal duo had made their way back from whatever they had to do. This time she did open her eyes slightly and peer at the door.
"I'm so glad we don't argue as much as they do." She said quietly.
