In the Lair

[Chieko Shimizu]

Chieko fiddled with her damp clothes.
"No," the green-eyed teen answered. "I have no other business to take care of."

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya lifted her umbrella over her head, and thought a moment. "Well then, I suppose we should just head toward Suna. Wouldn't want to have to explain to Leader-sama what took us so long on the mission anyway." She said.

[Chieko Shimizu]

Chieko nodded in agreement and followed the two other Akatsuki members, her movements stiff and using a little more energy than needed.

(I'm thinking that this is where we'd leave this thread and change to one in the outskirts of Amegakure or something)

Aki sat on the roof, watching the sky as she waited for the others, and her new apprentice to return. She was not looking forward to having a new team mate. But she had not met the girl yet. And until she was assigned to her, Aki would not be receiving any new missions or jobs from Pein-sama.

[Reap Kanboku]

Reap was walking when the sudden urge to head into the lair hit him so here he was walking along the roof looking for the hatch that lead back inside. The tapping of his cane on the roof was sharp and crisp unlike the dull thud he was looking for. The man would carefully place each foot behind where he had just been tapping to keep himself from tripping or stumbling.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu had been napping on the couch in a lazy fashion. When he heard the tapping, it awoke him, and to a bad mood, nonetheless. It wasn't fast enough to be rain, but too many to be bird droppings. Karatsu kickied his heel into the ground, sending a chunk of stone like a rock into the ceiling, making a loud bang. "Quit that banging! I'm trying to sleep!"

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya put down her book and drew her eyebrows together as she looked over at Karatsu. "Was that really neccessary Sasaki?" she asked. She stood up and stook her head outside to where she could be heard by Reap.

"You alright up there Reap?" she called.

[Reap Kanboku]

Sliding slightly as a large impact hit just below his last cane tap he would turn at the sound of... Ah yes that was Amaya "I'm perfectly alright Amaya, would you mind opening the trap door for me I can't seem to find it today." He smiled innocently in the direction of her voice as he waited for a reply from someone he hoped was still there.

[Amaya Takahashi]

"Sure thing," she replied and moved to open the trap door leading to the roof. She stepped back and waited for Reap to enter, crossing her arms comfortably across her chest. She smiled even though she knew that he could see her.

"What were you doing outside anyway?" She asked once he appeared.

[Reap Kanboku]

Slowly making his way over he would drop through the trap door landing lightly on his feet and turning his head taking in the different sounds of the room. Snapping back to face towards Amaya he would tilt his head slightly to the left, standing up slowly "well I was just out for a little walk in the fresh air."

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu refused to move from the couch, still tired. "Yes, it was completely necessary." Karatsu switched the side he was laying on so he wasn't facing to the other two. Of course he was too awake to go back to sleep, but his ever-lasting motto, "Go for broke or go home" stood solid.

[Amaya Takahashi]

"Ah, so its nice out today? Thats good, maybe I'll go have a picnic later today. Spending some time in the fresh air sounds like a lovely idea." She said. She walked over to the couch that Karatsu was laying on and pushed his legs up and sat down. If he had been laying on his back, she would have just plopped down on his legs for the fun of it, and the minor annoyance it would have caused him. The idea made her smirk slightly.

"What about you Sasaki? Are you going to spend all day laying on this couch?" She asked.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu replied as quickly as posssible. "YES." Karatsu put his legs on the floor. That was just a response to show he had some fight in him. "Hell, I dunno, why not?" Karatsu knew she was inviting him to the picnic, or whatever they were doing, so he gave his reply in advance. He would actually like a bit of fresh air, but he wouldn't really show that he liked anything... well, other than those subtle hints at Amaya. He was really growing onto her. That whole scene in his room really blew him away. And of course, he liked it incredibly, but there was no way he would show anything public any time soon. He would keep his feelings between him and her.

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya grinned slightly. She really enjoyed the playful bickering that she did with Karatsu and was glad that it didn't get awkward between them after what happened in his room. Though she did greatly enjoy that as well,and had no problem with showing him affection of a different sort when they were alone.

She absentmindedly laid her hand on Karatsu's leg as she looked over at Reap, she debated whether she should ask him if he'd like to join her and Karatsu for the picnic. There wasn't anything going on at the lair again.

"What about you Reap? Would you like to go for a picnic?" She asked, "I don't think that Karatsu would mind, would you Sasaki?"

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu looked at Amaya's hand as it rested on his leg, wanting so bad to grab it and hold it, but he restrained himself. Karatsu passed a quick glance to Amaya, secretly sharing his feelings, knowing she'd understand. Karatsu, however, doesn't give up his mindset very easily. His reply was a simple, "Feh..." Of course, in Karatsu language, this meant "sure, why not". Karatsu began to stand up to stretch, quickly brushing his hand against Amaya's as one of those "subtle hints" mentioned earlier. He even through in another eye contact her way.
