A new day in the lair

[Yuna Kiyoshi]

Yuna had just come back from training after a long mission and walked into the den, greeting the two akatsuki members by the door with a nod. She walked over to an empty couch with a hunk of wood and a knife and began making a flower head.

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya and Karatsu had just gotten back from the mission to Suna and she was beat, but she didn't want to go to bed quite yet. So she had decided to go into the den. Actually she had just entered the den and was in the middle of talking to Karatsu by the door when Yuna entered.

Amaya nodded a greeting to Yuna and watched curiously while Yuna created the flower out of the wood. She had always loved shows artistic talents.

[Deidara]

Deidara had appear from some scouting duties he had to do and was tired as heck so he settled down and sat at a couch next to Yuna, "What are you doing?"

[Yuna Kiyoshi]

"I'm making a flower as a sort of a....gift....for my brothers." Yuna smirked. "I'm going to hollow out the flower from the bottom and fill it with poison for them." She continued working on the flower's details, waiting for Deidara's reply.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu noticed the flower Yuna was working with, but shrugged it off. He headed off to fix his mask, having not been able to get around to it. He thought for a moment, and considered something. He agreed with this thought that it would come in handy. "Amaya, could you come with me? You said something about wanting to learn to fix my mask?"

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya nodded, "It would be helpful to learn to fix your mask if it were to get broken again. After all, I am your partner and your safety does fall on me while we're on missions." She said, her tone light and her thoughts left unfinished.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, c'mon." He was surprised no one said anything about him not having his mask on. He lead Amaya through the hallways to his room. He put his hand on the handle. "C'mon. In here." Now he was letting her in his room? This was another first for both of them. He opened the door and a very chilled air rushed out. It was so cold in there. It had always been, but now Amaya would see why.

[Yuna Kiyoshi]

Yuna looked up from her carving as Amaya and Karatsu left the room. 'He's got no mask on, hmm?' she thought to herself and went back to working on the flower head. It was almost finished.

[Yuna Kiyoshi]

She left suddenly, remembering something she had to do. actually, someone she had to find.

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya walked back into the lair and quickly left Karatsu to take the picnic stuff back to the kitchen and then to her room to pack for tomorrow. She was stuffing stuff into a bag when there was a knock on her door. She opened the door thinking it was Karatsu.

[Kakuzu]

When Amaya opened the door, she was surprised to see Kakuzu standing there. Tall and evil-eyed, he resembled the grim King of kings himself, standing there, head lowered. "Where is the brat? Leader needs to speak with him and he's not in his room."

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya was surprised but after the initial wide eyed reaction, she quickly covered it. She looked beyond Kakuzu then focused on him.

"How long ago did you check his room? We haven't been back that long. Should I go search for him?" She asked. Her voice calm and quiet.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Just as Amaya said this, Karatsu walked around the corner. He was listening to the conversation had. The next thing was said by Kakuzu. "I just checked. If anyone would know, it would be you. You are his keeper, after all." Karatsu was now standing behind him. When Kakuzu turned to look at him, Karatsu raised his middle finger to his face. "Kakuzu continued to stare angrily, then asked, "Where were you?" Karatsu replied, "I was training, what's it to you?" Kakuzu raised his head slightly. "What a coincidence. That is a similar topic to what Leader wishes to see you about." Karatsu raised his eybrow as if Kakuzu was out of his mind. Karatsu inhaled to speak, but as soon as he did so, Kakuzu answered. "Mandatory." Karatsu slumped his shoulders. He left to see Leader. He was gone about half an hour, leaving Amaya and Kakuzu to stand there. When he returned, he looked angry. He scratched at the area bordering his mask. He sighed, then pushed passed Kakuzu. Kakuzu scowled at him, but walked away. "Well, there's no worries," He said to Amaya, "but I have work to do after the vacation. I practically had to beg to be able to put it off that long."

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya watched Kakuzu leave, then focused her attention on Karatsu, a slight frown creasing her forehead. She reached out and touched his arm briefly then dropped it to her side. She nodded slightly.

"What does he want you to do?" She asked.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu sighed. "He just wants me to find some stupid scroll." Karatsu turned his head and mumbled, "Pein in the ass is more like it..." Karatsu looked back at Amaya and put his hand on hers. "No worries, I'll just have to make a trip back home, is all." He held her hand briefly, then released it. "Now, c'mon. Let's have a vacation."
