Kokugen had been hiding all this time from Kurohi, his crazy friend. Though he had come to the market place he didn't know what he would do there. He looked at the stores and kept walking until one caught his eye. The Grocery store, he decided to go in there to get some chips and soda so he could relax but after he went outside he bumped into somebody...

"Oh, im sorry!" Sayuri said, bumping into the man in front of her and almost knocking them both over. She had been out and about, looking at some of the newer shops and had decided to pass by the grocery store on her way to the bookshop.

"No... It's Okay... I should have been looking..." Kokugen said kind of nervous, he wasn't really that good around girls. "The name is Kokugen," He said trying to be nice.

She smiled at him. "I'm Sayuri. Its nice to meet you Kokugen." He looked like he normally spent time by himself so Sayuri decided to do something about it. "Would you like to come training with me? I had just gone to buy more kunai to train but I kind of got lost on the way there."

"Mmm... Sure, Why not..." Kokugen said, then he remembered something. "Do you have to go now? I got to go to the bookstore and get somethings, you mind coming?" He said still a bit nervous.

She smiled again. "No its no problem. Ive been meaning to find out where it was anyway." Sayuri hadn't actually been to the bookstore before, normally her friends got her some of the books or scrolls she wanted when they went. She turned to follow him there.

After a few turns and many many stored passed they reach the bookstore. It looked normal enough, once inside there were shelves of book there. "Well here we are, The BookStore," Kokugen said and looked at Sayuri which for some reason made him blush. He hadn't notice Sayuri was pretty up until now.

Sayuri looked around in awe. The last and only bookstore she had been to was tiny, will a single wall of books. "Wow. This place is huge!" she exclaimed. Sayuri smiled up at Kokugen, him being taller than her, and went off to find a book or two. When she had looked up at him, she thought she saw a hint of a blush. Maybe she was wrong...?

After seeing Sayuri leave Kokugen proceeded in looking for his own book, he went trough many genre of book until he finally found what he was looking for... The Non-fiction area. He searched the shelves one by one looking for what he had been hopping was there and once he found it, he grabbed and quickly went to the counter to buy the book, 'How To have a Better Social Life'. "I would like this please..." He said to the lady in the counter but just then Sayuri came and saw the book he had... Something he didn't want anyone to know about... "I-" He said a felt very nervous.

Seeing the book Kokugen was holding, she grinned with relief, believing the wrong thing. "At least I'm not the only one who is no good in those fancy social places, nee?" She looked down at her own books and blushed slightly, realizing that the books she was trying to hide had become visible. He saw she was buying three copies of Icha Icha and that she couldn't think of how to explain it.

Kokugen sighed in relief, he looked at Sayuri and said, "So you read Icha Icha? I got a friend that reads those books too. Are they any good?" Kokugen said as the lady at the counter put his book in a bag. Though he was still kind of embarrassed he managed to keep a normal voice.

Sayuri shook her head. "No, they're not for me. My father used to read them. Even though he's dead, I'm sure he still reads the books I bring him." She chuckled slightly sadly. "I never knew what he saw in these books." She handed the books to the lady at the counter.

"Hm... I wonder what so good about those books," Kokugen said trying to change the subject, he knew that this was a delicate subject and even if she was acting like nothing was the matter it was.

"Who knows. I guess we'll have to find out, won't we." Sayuri said giggling as she gave the lady the money for the books and took the bag. A handle of the bag got caught on one of the swords the wore on her back and knocked them off and out of their sheaths. She giggled again at her own clumsiness, returning to her usual self. "Today just isn't my day."

"It's not like you're the only one having a bad day..." Kokugen said in a very sympathetic way. He looked at her for a second and then he suggested they go eat.
