Osamu is rather cold, and regal in a way. Because he is the leader of the Yamagata Clan he feels that it makes him a very powerful person, and it does in some circles. He's calculating, and one that believes in business before pleasure, of course he doesn't put any time into having a good time. He's distant with his family, though he can be quite chummy and people friendly when its needed. He believes that only the strong will survive or even deserve to survive. He puts great amount of importance in money and family pride.

HOW'D YOU GET THERE

Past:
The Yamagata Clan has always been a clan that answered only to itself, they kept to themselves mostly ever since Osamu's grandfather decided that the Yamagata Clan would be trained to the highest of standards and use their talents in the ninja arts to perform assassins for the highest bidder. The children in the Yamagata Clan were taught and trained at an "academy" on-sight set apart from anyone else in Getsugakure. The head of the Yamagata clan always went to the eldest son of the leader, provided that son was also the most promising.

Osamu was the second eldest to his father who was the Leader of the Village. However, he was also the most talented and dangerous of the brethren. There was a tie between who should be chosen to take the place of Osamu's father between Osamu and his elder brother. In order to break the tie, they had to face off against each other in a very bloody sparring match to determine who the successor would be. Osamu won the battle after causing his elder brother to go blind.

Later on, Osamu married the woman of his dreams. A woman that was kind, understanding, yet very capable of taking care of herself. He often referred to her as his conscience. After she gave birth to a son and a daughter, she became ill and died a few years later. This caused Osamu's nearly hidden heart to harden even more.
