Important day at the Academy

[Shouichi Sakamoto]

Shouichi sat at the table with his fingers intertwined on the table as he listened to Iruka say that everyone had passed the test and made it to being genin. Shouichi himself was kind of surprised that he had actually made it this far. It wasn't that he didn't know the jutsus, because with enough practice he had mastered the ones that he was tested on. The reason why he was surprised is because he wasn't very sure of himself, not exactly the temperament that a shinobi should have.

"Now its time for me to announce what the squads. As you can tell, there are some older students here today that aren't usually in our class room, its because they're also needing to be put into their squads, so listen everyone," Iruka Sensei said, drawing everyone's attention. Shouichi sat up a little straighter and looked around the room to see the new faces.

"Daishi Emiko, Kaito Haruki, and Kurotsuchi Kamiko. You will make up squad 1." Iruka informed.

Shouichi sunk a little back into his seat, and chanced a look back at the three that were just named. They were already sitting together. Shouichi couldn't wait to find out what squad he'd be on.

"Yasuno Misuke, Sumera Kimiko, and Sakamoto Shouichi, you will make up squad 2." Iruka continued. Shouichi glanced over at Misuke, well at least he'd be with one person that he thought he could get along with. He fought back a grimace at the thought of being assigned to the same squad as Kimiko though.

He listened while Iruka named off a few more squads, and then he heard Misuke's last name again and looked around to see who the other Yasuno could be.

".... Yasuno Rena, Sadako Manubu, and Ohashi Chou; you will make up squad 11." Iruka finished.

Rena Yasuno, that must be Misuke's older sister, thought Shouichi, they do look alike.

[Kamiko Kurotsuchi]

Kamiko sat upright when he heard his name. He noticed, by coincidence, he was already sitting with his two squad members. He heard the Daishi girl's name said along with his. He turned a dull shade of pink as he turned to look at her, but he shook it off, took a deep breath, and started talking to her. "Hey, did you hear that? We're on the same squad!"

[Emiko Daishi]

Emiko was sitting in her seat, with her chin propped up on one of her hands, staring off into space. She was daydreaming so she really didn't hear any of what Iruka sensei was saying. But she felt someone looking at her, and finally turned to look at Kamiko.

"Hmm? Did you say something?" She asked, not only did she miss what Kamiko had said, but there had been atleast a 2 minute delay in her response.

[Misuke Yasuno]

Crap.
Sitting in his usual seat with his head down on his crossed arms, Misuke made no sign that he had heard Iruka, but dispaired inside. While he had no problem with Shouichi, Kimiko was a ticking time bomb, and he had no idea how well she'd hold up under pressure. Sitting alone in the backmost row of the room with her arms crossed in front of her and leaning back in the chair, Rena didn't give any outward reaction, either, simply glancing down at Misuke before returning her attention to the from of the room.

[Kamiko Kurotsuchi]

Kamiko sat there, wondering what had taken Emiko so long to respond. He had a look on his face that said, "Really?" Kamiko shook it off and repeated. "Did you hear? You and me are on the same squad! How cool is that?"

[Emiko Daishi]

Emiko smiled at Kamiko, "Oh, that is cool. Who is the third person?" Emiko asked, focusing her bright eyes on Kamiko.

[Rena Yasuno]

As she thought over what was ahead, Rena sat a little straighter, projecting her voice clear to the front of the room without yelling.
"Sensei, who are our squad leaders, and when and where will we be meeting them?"

[Kimiko Sumera]

Kimiko watched as Iruka pulled out another piece of paper and examined it. She crossed her arms and glared at Iruka as he began to reply to the older genin's question.

"Yes, well most of the squad leaders will be meeting their squads after this class I believe, if they're available. Others will have a schedule for when they're able to meet their leader because the squad leader is either away from the village or otherwise assigned at the moment." Iruka began, then he started reading from the list.

"The squad leader for Squad 1 will be Kuroda Hana. She will be here later to meet with her squad. The Squad leader for Squad 2 will be Sasaki Kekeya. He will most likely meet with his team today as well." Iruka informed, then continued, "Squad 11 will be lead by Misaki Sayuri. She's currently on a mission and won't be available to meet with her squad until she gets back."

Kimiko knew who Kekeya was, and rolled her eyes. Great, thought Kimiko, Not only will I have to put up with that guy during tutoring, but he's also going to be my squad leader. Kimiko wasn't happy at all.

"If there are no more questions, I guess that basically sums it all up," Kimiko heard Iruka finish.

[Kamiko Kurotsuchi]

Kamiko had still been whispering to Emiko. "I think it was that Kaito guy. You know, the one you spilled tea on?" Kamiko smiled when he heard who his sensei was. He thought that Hana was a nice person in the teashop.

[Emiko Daishi]

"Ooh." Emiko said, drawing it out. She mentally made a note to attempt to use the cards to see what the future told for her and her squad once she got home.

She pushed back her long red hair and frowned slightly, "I wonder when our squad leader will be here." She said out loud to herself.

[Hana Kuroda]

Hana was having a hectic day. She woke up late and wasn't able to shower. She only had three minutes to get to the academy. She didn't want to be a bad example to her new students on the first day. After all she shouldn't pull a Kakashi and let her students disrespect her the fist day. She wanted to make a good impression.

After dressing quickly she rushed out the door. She lightly combed her fingers through her hair while running for the academy. She made it in time but barely. She entered the doors to the classroom she was supposed to meet her new students in and saw Iruka there. Her already flushed face from running turned even more red. She had a disheveled look and she kept trying to push her hair behind her ear though it was being stubborn.

"Ah, I came to meet my new students..." Hana said shyly. She looked around the classroom and picked out the three faces she wanted to see. "Oh sorry. I'm Hana. Hana Kuroda, leader of squad one," she said reintroducing herself politely. She had briefly met her students before but she still wanted to sound professional.

[Haruki Kaito]

Haruki who had been sleeping this entire time had not been paying attention to what Iruka-sensei had been saying so he had no idea what was going on... "Um... What are we talking about?" Haruki asked confused.

[Hana Kuroda]

Hana sweatdropped. "Ah I'm your new sensei..." she repeated scratching the back of her neck nervously. How these kids could make her nervous she wasn't sure. Though the feeling still didn't go away.

[Emiko Daishi]

Emiko smiled at Hana. She had a feeling that Hana was going to be their squad leader, after all hadn't Grandma Daishi's cards predicted it? She then looked over at Haruki, the sweet semi dreamy smile never leaving her face.

"The three of us are on the same squad. Thats what Kamiko just told me. Isn't that great?" she asked, then she gave a little sigh.

[Kimiko Sumera]

Kimiko sat back in her seat toward the back of the room, a table behind Emiko, Haruki, and Kamiko and crossed her arms.

"Wow, Kamiko. I really feel sorry for you. Not only do you have Emiko the Clueless in your squad, but Haruki too? That must really hurt." Kimiko said, and snickered at her own joke.

Then she saw someone else enter the room and let out a groan. The person that entered the room was Kekeya. She watched as Iruka greeted Kekeya, then listened as Iruka announced that squad 2's leader had just entered the room.

"Kimiko, Misuke, and Shouichi. Your squad leader has arrived. Now that means the other students who aren't meeting with their squad leaders today may leave now. Class dismissed," Iruka informed.

Kimiko stood still as alot of the other kids began standing up and walking toward the exit.
