Inside the Village gates

[Izumi Kawaguchi]

Izumi had just arrived in Konoha after spending a few days searching through Suna. She had been on a mission of a personal nature ever since she heard that there were other people with the abilities that she possessed. While out on a few missions for her own village of Iwa, she had heard of Nicholas, and how he seemed to possess the same kekkei genkai as she did, but that he had mastered it.

She had followed intel that said that the Akatsuki had pinpointed another person, a younger girl, who had the same ability in Suna. That's what brought her to this village, because she got word that the girl and her brother had been moved here. To train with Nicholas no doubt. That's what brought here to Konoha, to learn to fully develop this ability that she didn't even know a name for.

She glanced around the village as far as she could see from right inside the gate. First she had to check in with the Hokage, then she'd be able to hopefully do what she had set out to do. She let her eyes move around, as if seeking out someone.

Amaya, dressed in normal clothes and a disguise, stopped just inside the village gates of Konoha and looked around. She fiddled with the headband that she was wearing on her neck. Sure she was use to wearing on ethere, but this one was newer than her Waterfall Village one, and so it felt tighter.

"Are you ready for this?" She asked, not looking at Karatsu when she talked.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu had been pulling at the cloth mask he was wearing. It was one similar to Kakashi's. His mask wasn't affected by transformation jutsu's so he had to wear something over it. "As ready as I'll ever be." Karatsu grabbed Amaya's hand briefly, then let go, showing some slight affection. He took one step inside, but then he suddenly shuddered. "Oh... great.... no way..." Karatsu closed his eyes, sensing something. "Bullcrap."

[Amaya Takahashi]

Amaya quickly shifted her gaze at Karatsu and frowned, "Whats wrong?" She asked. She looked around to see if there was anyone who could ruin their disguise and their vacation. She didn't see anyone, so then she turned back to Karatsu, her frown deepening.

She was slightly worried and thought maybe his sickness was acting up or something. "Are you alright?" She asked.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu stared out into an empty direction. "I haven't felt this high a concentration of Sasaki chakra in a long time." Karatsu grabbed his forehead and closed his eyes like he was annoyed. "Looks like baby brother rallied the troops." Karatsu sighed, and put his hand on Amaya's shoulder. "It's nothing. As long as we stay away from my family, we'll be fine."

Amaya frowned but nodded slightly, "I wonder what they're up to. I could go for a quick look around the village later on and see if I can find out anything. I don't have to worry about them noticing me. I'm pretty good at blending in, and they shouldn't recognize my chakra." She offered.

She had hoped for a quiet vacation with Karatsu, full of sight seeing and relaxing. She hoped that the apparent convention of Sasaki inside the Leaf Village wouldn't keep Karatsu from enjoying his vacation.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu sighed. "Well, I'm sure that would be ok. I'm not gonna let this get to me, though. Hell, I'm gonna enjoy myself if it kills me. It's a vacation." Karatsu said "vacation" in a very corny manner, hoping for a small chuckle from Amaya. He wanted to enjoy his time away from work. There was no way he was going to have obstruction. He had been looking forward to a nice, fun vacation, and dammit, he was gonna have one with the girl of his dreams. Karatsu chuckled slightly. He almost couldn't believe how corny that sounded in his head.

Amaya did chuckle at how corny Karatsu was being when he said vacation. She put her hand on his arm in an affectionate manner, then pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket.

"Well, lets get settled in, and then I'll go see what I can gather for dinner and we can have a picnic or something. Here's the address to the flat that we'll be staying in." She said, holding up the piece of paper.

As part of their cover, they were suppose to be a newly wed couple. This meant that they'd be staying in the same place, which of course was okay since they needed to stay together anyway.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu shooed the paper away. "Yeah, let's go see some stuff, sweetness." Karatsu bumped his elbow on Amaya in a way where he was teasing her, saying sweetness in an exaggerated manner. Karatsu had no qualms with what their disguise was supposed to be. In fact, he had vowed to get some mileage out of this if it killed him. Although, knowing Amaya, she might actually kill him later for giving her hell, but it seemed worth it before the actual punishment was administered.

Amaya raised her eyebrow at Karatsu, the corner of her mouth once again tugging upward in a slight smile. She put the paper back in her pocket and shrugged slightly.

"Where would you like to go first, dearest?" She asked, putting a mixture of sweetness and icy-ness in to the last word. Her lips curved into a slightly bigger smile to show that she was only joking as well.

[Karatsu Sasaki]

Karatsu grabbed his arms with teh opposite hands in the motion of being cold. "Did it just get chilly out here. or is it me?" He was of course referring to Amaya's comment, but he was gonna keep on playing. "Well, I would like to go check out our new place, but how about a hug to warm me up, sweetness?"

Amaya put her arm through one of Karatsu's, ignoring his request for a hug. She shook her head, her face now covered in a full smile.

"Who knew you were such a ham," she asked Karatsu as she walked with him toward the residential district of the village. While they walked, she allowed herself to move closer to Karatsu so that they were touching more than just their arms.

Karatsu was smiling under his mask. "Yeah, but I'm the good kind of ham, right?" Karatsu had also sneaked himself closer to Amaya. He got a sense of joy out of being in contact with her. He was excited to be spending so much time with her practically by themselves, which was why he was extra corny than usual.

"Yeah, the good kind.." She said and winked at him. She switched her travel bag to her other shoudler, and threaded her arm through his. She looked at the paper that she had been carrying and stopped in front of a small flat.

"I guess this is it?" She asked and studied the flat for a few moments. "Well, I suppose its good enough for our first home, what do you think?" She asked.
